Wuchii is the name Siruma gives to its introduction to regional speciality coffees. It’s a gateway through which the company broadens its speciality offering, supporting more growers with regular workshops and farm visits to strengthen their skills and help them harvest better coffee. This lot comes from Antioquia, in the mountains of Colombia’s Western Andes. It’s one of the regions where Siruma is actively building speciality supply chains, alongside Cauca, Tolima, Caldas, Huila, Risaralda and Valle del Cauca.
The region’s high elevations and cool mountain temperatures slow cherry maturation, enhancing natural sugars and developing a bright yet balanced acidity. Fertile volcanic soils and consistent rainfall support stable, high-quality yields. Small and medium-sized family farms lead cultivation, combining knowledge passed down through generations with support from Siruma’s sustainability and agronomy team. The team advises on crop management, post-harvest processing and sustainability standards.
Through this direct engagement, Siruma builds long-term relationships based on quality, transparency and shared value. It identifies regional lots that reflect the character of Antioquia’s terroir while ensuring growers receive fair value for their coffee.
